3 new industries setup in DI Khan economic zone

With an estimated investment of Rs600 million, three new industries started operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zone Development Management Company (KPEZDMC) in Dera Ismail Khan zone, said a handout.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) KPEZDMC Javed Iqbal Khattak and Commissioner D.I.Khan division Amir Afaq on Thursday formally performed the groundbreaking of the industries in the zone.
The new industries including Maxel Pharma, Al-Hamd Flour & General Mills and Ittefaq Concert Segments with an estimated investment of Rs600 million will generate more than 500 direct employment opportunities, the statement said. The D.I.Khan Economic Zone is planned to cater one of the most resource rich regions of Pakistan which include districts from Punjab and KP. The zone comprises districts including Dera Ghazi Khan, Bhakkar, Mianwli, Tank, D.I.Khan, South Waziristan, and Lakki Marwat.
