Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority (KP FS&HFA) carried out a crackdown against food adulteration in the city, wherein 3,000 dead chickens seized from a shop at Bacha Khan chowk in the provincial capital. According to the Food Safety Authority, the meat of the dead chickens was being prepared for supply purposes to the local market. During the operation, the chicken shop was sealed and the vehicle used for supply was seized. Food Authority officials said that a case has been registered against the shop owners who were dealing in dead chickens while investigations would be started against other persons involved.
