Hundreds of villges around 500 hundred houses have been submerged in falsh flood while five persons including two minor children killed and dozans of people injured while thousands of people were left homeless after their home collapsed under the heavy rain throughout kashmore.
The affected katcha areas include Union Council ( UC) Lashari, UC Cheel, badani, various villges such as Taj Mohammad, fakeer rahamtullah,Shakal khan, mouj Ali, Mashoque sabzoi, Baqa Mohammad jakharani, Rasool bux , ghous bux, Nawab illah bux and others.
The villagers of these areas said that they are facing many hardships particularly food, tents, medical and others although they are sitting in the open and also facing the heavy rain.
They said that their families are still stranded in the houses. They complained that despite releasing of rain emergency fund from government , district administration has completely failed to provide shelters, medicines, food and rescue services to the rain afectees.
A government official on the condition of anonymity told this correspondent that sindh government released 14 million for the rain emergency for district kashmore some days back but no any proper facility has been provided to affected persons especially those who were sitting upon dykes and other places.
The affected villagers told that only banners of relief camp was seen but there was no any activity or official there while hundreds of houses under rain water but there no boat and other facilities mainly in katcha area.
The villagers said that their families are still stranded in the houses there are no boats to pull them out from the flood water however dozans of people sitting in open ares upon dykes.
While our children suffering from water diseases however a large number of cattle were also killed said the villagers. They were of view that there are no proper checks from district government and irrigation department.
