54 families left for Afghanistan

TAKHTBHAI: Around 54 families left the Jalala Refugee Camp for Afghanistan on Saturday.
The Afghan families, which included 36 registered and 18 unregistered, left the camp early in the day. Talking to The News, the elders of the returning refugees thanked the government of Pakistan for hosting them during crisis in their country.
“We appreciate the hospitality of the people of Pakistan for sheltering us for 37 long years,” one of the elders said.
The returning refugees requested officials to relax procedure for their movement on the Torkham border during the six-month period so that they could shift all their belongings with ease.
