Released him after receiving 340000 dollars as ransom

7 suspected persons including officer of CTD have been arrested under charges of kidnapping a crypto -currency trader and releasing him after receiving 340000 dollars from him as ransom. Confirming arrest of police personal IG Police Ghulam Nabi Memon said efforts are underway to arrest another police personal who is absconding. Anti Violence and Crime Cell (AVCC) has identified arrested persons as Haris , Rizwan Shah , Tariq Hassan, Muzammal Raza, Umar Jillani, Umar Irshad and Noman Riffat. In the official statement identification of arrested police men and their present posting has not been shown.
It was said therein that one Muhammad Arsalan 30 used to trade in crypto -currency was kidnapped on December 25 from Manghopir.
The kidnappers transferred 340000 US dollars from account of kidnapped trader to different accounts. He was left in the jurisdiction of Brigade police. Muhammad Arsalan got registered FIR under kidnapping for ransom and other clauses. Its investigation was assigned to AVCC/CIA . According to official statement the team constituted under AVCC SP Anil Haider Minhas conducted operations in different areas of metro police on technical basis and arrested 7 accused persons.
