PESHAWAR
As many as 79 corona patients are under treatment in two major Peshawar Hospitals Khyber Teaching Hospital and Lady Reading Hospital, an official of the health department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said here Sunday.
He said that currently 44 corona patients in Khyber Teaching Hospital and 35 corona patients at Lady Reading Hospital are under treatment. He said Khyber Teaching Hospital allotted 122 beds for corona patients.
At Khyber Teaching Hospital, 28 ventilators are reserved for corona patients andfour patients of Corona in Khyber Teaching Hospital are on intensive care and ventilators. However, 21 patients infected with Corona are undergoing treatment at HDU.
He said the hospital allotted 31 beds for patients with low oxygen and currently 19 patients are undergoing treatment on them.
In the last 24 hours, 2 corona patients have been admitted while 78 beds allotted for Corona in Khyber Teaching Hospital are vacant.
In the Lady Reading Hospital, the number of coronavirus patients has risen to 35. Spokesman Muhammad Asim said. He said they 400 beds allotted for corona patients in LRH and currently 4 patients are admitted in ICU. The Hospital, he said, admitted six new corona patients in the last 24 hours.
