8 terrorists gunned down in Karachi’s Malir area

Eight terrorists including the head of the banned organization were killed during security forces operation in Karachi’s Malir area on Wednesday morning.
Police raided Malir’s Bakra Peeri area over which the terrorists opened heavy fire on them. Police also retaliated to the attack but faced resistance from the terrorists.
Additional contingent of Rangers was summoned in view of the uptight situation. Security forces surrounded the area and targeted the assailants.
The killed terrorists include the organization’s head in Tank Ameer Gul Zaman and Taj Muhammad alias Lala.
Senior Superintendant Police (SSP) Malir Rao Anwar talking to media that the operation was carried out on the tip of and those killed included a boy of 14 to 16 years of age who could be a suicide bomber. He said the area is being searched and hoped the recovery of weapons. He said the police recovered a laptop bomb, hand grenades and other arms from the venue of the fighting.
He said the terrorists were using code words while selecting sites for their activities.
Rao Anwar asserted that the network of the terrorists is being operated from Afghanistan and they arrive from Balochistan to carry out the activities. He disclosed that after terrorist activities, the anti state elements go back to Wadh and Sakaran areas of Balochistan where they have established hideouts.
