80pc TDPs repatriated, NA informed

The NA has been informed that Temporarily Displaced Persons will be registered where they are presently living. Responding to a call attention notice, Parliamentary Secretary Finance R. M. Afzal informed the House that after December 31, 2016, TDPs status of displaced persons has been discontinued and now they are being considered as economic migrants. RanaAfzal said the upcoming census in the country is being conducted according to international rules.Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul QadirBaloch explained that eighty per cent of TDPs have been repatriated and the rest twenty per cent will be repatriated by April 30 this year. ShireenMazari of PTI speaking on the floor of the house said that there is no foreign policy in the country, questioning that how they will end terrorism from the country without any policy.
She further stated that terrorism will not be end by closing crossing points, adding that the defence minister lied to the house about closure of border with Afghanistan. Quoting the statement of Defence Minister about India is sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan, she said that why not border with India then closed at Wagah. She opined that Islamabad should resolve issues with Kabul through dialogue.
Mazari asked the prime minister to come into the house and elaborate foreign policy with India, saying that defence minister speaks about Indian-sponsor terrorism while the premier talks about trade with neighboring country.
