Dawood Sports moved into Quarter Final of the All Karachi Prof.Ejaz Ahmed Faruqi Invitation Cricket Tournament after beating Nazimabad Gymkhana “B” by 189 runs here at TMC ground. The tournament is being organised by Rising Star Cricket Club with the Permission of Pakistan Cricket Board.
Scores in brief :
Batting first Dawood Sports scored 306 for 5 in allotted 45 overs. Shiraz Ali hit century scored 109 with the help of 9 fours and 1 six in 88 balls , Naveed Khan 69 with 9 fours , Kashif Iqbal 51 with 5 fours and 3 sixes, Noor Wali 27, Azhar Shah 19.Mahmood Shah,Abdul Rauf,Akber Shah and Kashif khan took one wicket each.
In reply, Nazimabad Gymkhana “B” were all out for 137 in 30.4 overs. Zafar Ali 40 with 3 fours and 3 sixes, Abdul Rauf 24. Junaid Naeem (sla) 3 for 26, Azhar Shah 2 for 24, Nadir Shah 2 for 36.
After the end of group League Matches Air Port Gymkhana, Alnoor Gymkhana, Dawood Sports, Shameel CC, Bilal Friends, Pakistan CC and Alamgir Gymkhana qualify for the Quarter Finals.
