ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police has declared the killing of Taimoor by a cop at a check-post as unintentional killing.
The 27-year-old man was shot dead by police firing in Islamabad a few days ago as he allegedly did not stop when a police official signalled him to.
Police has completed the investigation into the killing of Taimoor. As per the investigation report, the policeman Samiullah opened fire when the youth attempted to flee by not stopping at the check post. The report said that the killing of the youth was not intentional by the cop.
The report further said the statement of Taimoor friend, Maheen, who was in the car with Taimoor at the time of the incident, also supported the unintentional killing. The investigators concluded that all the evidences on the records and witnesses statements proved it was an unintentional killing case.
Police said that as the investigation had been completed, there was no need of further physical remand of the accused.
