Peshawar: In order to raise awareness against narcotics among local masses, anti-narco campaign is planned by Frontier Corps KP unit Thall Scouts.
The activities aims at instigating local population against growth, trade and use of narcotics and related products and putting chains on this anti social menace by inviting special from locals. In this regard following activities planned / executed by Frontier Corps KP unit Thall scouts.
1. A joint anti narcotics awareness walk was conducted at Thall by Frontier Corps Thall Scouts alongwith civil administration, police, local officials, public representatives, principals of schools and colleges, students of different schools and local elders/masharans.
2. A Jirga was conducted by Frontier Corps, Thall Scouts at Manatu to underline the menace of narcotics. The jirga was atattended by 60 masharans / elders of central Kurram Agency. It was followed by a walk including masharans and students to bring awareness in different segments of society.
3. A similar Jirga was arranged at Alizai by FC Thall Scouts. Reps of political admin along with masharans took part in the Jirga.
4. A one hour long seminar was held in TMO office, attended by Frontier Corps Thall Scouts and civil officials to bring awareness about the evils of narcotics. A large number of students belong to Thall also attend the seminar.
5. A meeting was held with police officials to arrest those individuals who are involved in sale and use of narcotics / drugs.
6. To further highlight the issue, a series of programs are being aired on FC Thall Scouts FM Shaheen 99.
