Police have solved a blind murder case within ten days of the incident, arresting two suspects allegedly involved in the killing of a man in the jurisdiction of Mathra Police Station.
According to police, the operation was carried out on the directives of senior officers under the supervision of SP Warsak Division Muhammad Arshad Khan and DSP Warsak Circle Arbab Naeem Haider. SHO Mathra Saddam Riaz, along with a special investigation team, traced the case using modern investigative techniques and arrested the suspects, identified as Faisal, son of Shamshad, and Yousaf, son of Shujaat, both residents of Charpariza.
Police said the victim, Abdul Rehman, was reported missing and later found murdered. His brother, Fazal Rehman, lodged an FIR on June 27, 2026, against unidentified suspects, after which police registered a blind murder case and launched an investigation.
During interrogation, investigators concluded that the prime suspect, Faisal, who is the victim’s nephew, allegedly murdered his uncle because of an illicit relationship with the victim’s wife. Police said the suspect allegedly shot the victim to remove him from the way, while co-accused Yousaf allegedly provided the pistol used in the crime and facilitated the murder.
Police said both suspects were in custody, and further investigation was underway.
