ISLAMABAD: The number of recoveries from COVID-19 continue to increase across the country with 178,737 patients have so far recovered from the disease, bringing down the number of total active COVID cases in Pakistan to 73,751 from 77,573. According to the latest statistics issued by National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Thursday, 2,145 new coronavirus cases were reported in the country during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 257,914. Meanwhile, 40 patients died of the virus during the same period taking the death toll to 5,426. A total of 24,262 corona tests were carried out during the aforementioned period.
