KHYBER : Dr. Sania Nishtar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Division, Friday visited the Ehsaas Development Center at District Headquarters Hospital, Dogra Khyber District here.
She also visited various departments including Gynecology wards, OPD, Emergency Center. MPA Shafiq Afridi, Deputy Commissioner District Khyber Mahmood Aslam Wazir were also present on the occasion.
Talking to media persons, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Dr, Sania Nishtar said that the Ehsass Kifalat Program was jointly organized by the World Food Program (WFP) and the provincial health department to reduce the suffering of children up to two years of age in pregnant women and lactating mothers.
She said that the purpose of her visit was to take a final look at the Ehsaas Nourishment Center as it would be inaugurated soon and other problems could be solved on priority basis. Dr. Sania Nishtar said that she has come to assess the height and other problems that arise in children due to scarcity.
She said that coming to the field shows what the problems are and how they can be solved, no minute will be spared in the provision of medical facilities.
She said that according to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, all resources and efficient measures would be used to bring the facilities to the people at their doorstep.
