SWABI: A man in a Suzuki van fell to his death after being hit by a vehicle on the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway near Swabi Inter-Change here on Sunday, Police confirmed the incident. In other traffic accidents, eight people including three women were injured. Syed Mir Khan, a resident of Peshawar, while registering an FIR at Lahore Police Station Swabi, said that he was on his way to Peshawar in a Suzuki van when he reached the Lahore Police Station area on the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway, another vehicle hit by the Van coming from behind. As a result, Ijaz Ahmed, who was riding in a Suzuki van, fell on the road and was seriously injured. He succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. The women riding in the rickshaw, wife of Aziz-ur-Rehman, resident of Manki, wife of Sultan, resident of Jalbai, wife of Wazirullah, resident of Zakaria, Sultan-ur-Rehman, resident of Manki and rickshaw driver Yaseen, resident of Jalbai were also injured in the collision. Similarly, Abdul Rehman and Waqif Khan were injured in a collision between a motorcycle and a rickshaw at Tordheer. Rescue 1122 medical team reached the spot, provided medical aid to the injured and shifted them to Bacha Khan Medical Complex.
