PARC, IPO sign pact to commercialise agriculture innovations

Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Intellectual Property Organization (IPO) to promote and commercialise agriculture innovations/ brands.
A delegation headed by Chairman IPO Mujeeb Ahmed Khan visited PARC headquarters for the signing ceremony of memorandum of understanding.
According to the agreement, IPO will advise and support inventors of PARC in drafting patent applications and its filing. The IPO will also guide PARC about trade mark, copy right and industrial design filing process and other IP issues. Moreover, IPO is to share information on IP aspects of commercialization and licensing. According to the MoU, both parties will conduct joint awareness raising sessions regarding intellectual property issues and topics.
Mujeeb Ahmed Khan appreciated PARC’s efforts in agriculture sector and also thanked Chairman PARC Dr Muhammad Azeem Khan who has kindly consented to get the MoU signed between the two organisations.
