The Pak-Afghan border at Torkham and Chaman has been opened for two days to facilitate the Afghan nationals. According to details, only those Afghan nationals will be allowed to cross the border who have valid Pakistani visa. Similarly, Pakistani nationals who had gone to Afghanistan on valid visa, can return through Torkham border check-post. Pak-Afghan border at two points was closed 18 days back due to terrorist attacks in the country. Meanwhile, Foreign Office spokesperson in a statement said that the Afghan government has been informed that the border will remain opened for two days and only those will be allowed to cross border who have valid visa. The Foreign Office spokesperson on Monday had announced the opening of the border for two days only.
Stranded people on the both sides of the border were facing severe difficulties due to closure of the border.
