Buzdar invites UAR entrepreneurs for investment in Punjab

LAHORE : Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar has invited UAE investors to make investment in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and Ravi Development Project (RDP).

The UAE Ambassador in Pakistan Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zabi extended invitation to Buzdar to visit UAE which was accepted by the latter.

Ambassador of United Arab Emirates (UAE) Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zabi has met with Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Usman Buzdar and the two exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, promotion of ties besides bolstering cooperation in diverse fields.
Lauding the Punjab government moves to contain Corona virus UAE ambassador said Punjab government took better measures to prevent COVID-19 from spreading.

Buzdar said 13 Special Economic Zones (SEZ) are being set up for the first time in Punjab and foundation stone of 3rd SEZ will soon be laid in Bahawalpur. Work is underway on two SEZs.

Buzdar pointed out new city will be built on River Ravi bank near Lahore. The new city will help solve problems of pollution besides controlling lowering underground water level.

He extended invitation to UAE investors to make investment in SEZs and RDP saying that the atmosphere is very conducive for domestic and foreign investors to make investment in Punjab.

He said Punjab government has enhanced the corona testing capability manifold. Steps are being taken to reopen educational institutes after Muharram. Plan has been evolved to construct Sheikh Zayed hospital-2 in Rahim Yar Khan.
