Vietnam’s steel imports volume goes up in 8 months

HANOI: Vietnam spent more than US $5.6 billion importing over 9.7 million tons of steel and iron in the first eight months of this year, down 13.2 percent in value and up 0.9 percent in volume against the same period last year. The major markets supplying steel and iron to Vietnam in the period included China, Japan and South Korea, according to the Vietnam Steel Association on Thursday. TLTP
