The Justice of Peshawar High Court Ikramullah Khan Monday appreciated the steps taken by traffic police and said that he didn’t know the name of Chief Traffic Police, however, the traffic flow was running smoothly on the roads of provincial metropolis.
During hearing of a promotion case of police department, he remarked that nowadays awareness campaigns initiated by traffic police were in full swing.
He said that traffic police were working dedicatedly by fulfilling their obligations with professional exuberance.
Meanwhile in a statement issued by Chief Traffic Officer Abbass Majeed Marwat has directed traffic staff to take stern actions against goods carrying vehicles for ensuring smooth traffic flow on the roads.
He also appealed to trader’s community to avoid overloaded vehicles for supply or delivery so as to reduce traffic jams in an appropriate manner. He said that objective behind actions against overloaded vehicles was to protect human lives from untoward incidents of accidents.
