In a move that aims to prepare the party for the local government polls, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has formally announced the newly nominated office-bearers for Swat district.
According to notification, issued by PTI Malakand region leadership on Saturday shows that Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Mian Sharafat Ali, has notified as district President, Muhammad Zahid khan as district general secretary, Hazrat Rehman Mama as senior vice president, Muhammad badar and Fazal Akbar baba as vice president and Aziz ur Rehman has been notify as finance Secretary .
The PTI Malakand division leadership claimed that the selection of office-bearers for the district has been completed after proper consultation with party leaders and workers in the district.
However, sources say that the party has been facing a severe rift over the announcement of its officer-bearers, and angry leaders who have been neglected have been planning to protest against the party’s leadership in the upcoming days.
