Vilification campaign against Ali Zafar
LAHORE: Sessions court has summoned singer Meesha Shafi on January 18 on the matter of running vilification campaign against Singer Ali Zafar on social media. The case came up for hearing in sessions court led by Judicial magistrate Zulfiqar Bari. The prosecution presented challan against singer Meesha Shafi in the court after removing objections. The court summoned her on next hearing on January 18. Earlier 8 accused persons including Meesha Shafi and actress Iffat Umar were named in the challan filed by FIA. The challan said that all the accused including Meesha Shafi leveled charges of sexual harassment against Ali Zafar in social media but they could not prove them. Ali Zafar had filed defamation suit against Meesha Shafi taking the plea the singer Meesha Shafi leveled baseless allegations of sexual harassment against him and his family members had to endure trouble some situation and their image was also tainted.
