NA body on Religious Affairs demands for more Hajj qouta

ISLAMABAD(Online): Members of National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee on Religious Affairs have demanded for more Hajj’s quota as compared to others parliamentarians.
The meeting of the committee held under the chairmanship of Hafiz Abdul Karim at parliament house. Except of committee’s members, federal minister Pir Amin-ul-Hasnat, chairman Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Siddiq-ul-Farooq and additional secretary Religious Affaires and other officers attended the meeting.
Federal minister Pir Amin-ul-Hasnat informed the committee that all parliamentarians have been given pilgrims’ quota two hajji each under the hardship quota.
He told the committee that the government has made better arrangement adding that hajj expenditures have been reduced as compared to last year.
Members of the committee including Shagufta Jamani, Pir Imran and others while demanding the increase in hajj’s quota, said that the committee of Religious Affaires should be given five person hajji quota instead of two.
They criticized the federal minister for Religious Affairs’ visit to London. The Members of the committee while postponing the agenda regarding to rights of minorities and ETPB agreed to call the meeting in Lahore in this regard.
