Pakistan will continue to remain partner in peace efforts: FM

ISLAMABAD : Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said Pakistan will continue to remain partner in the peace efforts and we have made it clear that we will continue to cooperate with world for establishment of peace.

“Afghan peace process has entered in a critical phase and peace in Afghanistan is priority of so many countries, he said this in a statement issued here Monday.

Meeting with Dr Abdullah, Abdullah chairman Afghan high level reconciliation council in Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkey remained beneficial and This gave us assessment of the internal situation of Afghanistan. . Pakistan got a chance to present its stance in unequivocal term therein.

He went on to say we have already said in clear terms that Pakistan will continue to cooperate with world for peace. We will remain partner in peace efforts.; We will continue our efforts for peace in Afghanistan.

He underlined the world is acknowledging Pakistan role.
Talks in details were held with Palestinian foreign minister on Palestine issue. The middle east situation was discussed with the foreign minister of Qatar.

Foreign minister of European Union has invited Prime Minister Imran Khan to visit Brussels and Turkish president had invited him to visit Turkey.
The Foreign Minister said that Pakistan has effectively highlighted Kashmir dispute at the international fora. He said the Kashmiris have rejected the Indian illegal steps of 5th August 2019.

About convening conference of all parties of Occupied Kashmir by Indian Prime Minister Narendare Modi FM said convening the conference by Modi is extraordinary development. All the Kashmiris were not happy over August 5 step.
