Quetta : Head of the Baluchistan National Party (BNP) Akhtar Jan Mengal has said that those who practice law are de-motivated and inhibited, adding that no one can even stage peaceful protest here.
In a twitter statement on Monday, Akhtar Mengal while talking about recent ruckus in Baluchistan Assembly said that responsibility lies on government. The incident was unfortunate and several Baluchistan opposition lawmakers were injured. Unfortunately, the FIR was also registered against opposition members, Mengal added.
“Today the opposition members persuaded law, as they gathered to present themselves for arrest at the MPA hostel but needlessly police was deployed in large numbers. No one can stage peaceful protest here, as government tries to further worsen circumstances by use of force.” Akhtar Mengal said.
“One can’t protest peacefully. Force is used to aggravate the situation. When one follows the law and offer arrests, your ways are blocked. If this precedent is set then any disruption caused today will be a burden on GOB’s shoulder & they will be solely blamed for it.” Akhtar Mengal tweeted.
