ISLAMABAD : PML-N senior leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said government is using NAB to serve its own interests and corrupt ministers are being saved through NAB.
“I request Chairman NAB Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal to review LNG case running against me”, he said this while talking to media men here Tuesday.
He held baseless allegations are being leveled against them. I was charged that LNG was not required in the country and plant was installed forcibly. Cameras be installed in the courts during hearing of these cases.
He remarked that petroleum assistant of PTI government has said NAB interferes in the work. The country cannot develop as long as NAB is there. Either run NAB or run the country.
Harm has been caused to the country due to NAB, he held. There are more than 20 corruption cases of billion of rupees in this country but NAB is keeping silence over them.
He underlined over 3 energy ministers were changed by the federal government. NAB should take action against them. LNG supply remained suspended in the country for six days due to incompetence of the government due to which electricity and gas supply system remained dysfunctional.
He observed the most corrupt government is in place in the country at present. Government should hand over the government to NAB and they will run it in better way.
He claimed the electricity has become costly soon after the passage of budget. The inflation will increase in coming days.
He underscored this government has failed fully and all the world is riveting their eyes on Azad Kashmir election. If this election is stolen then we will lose our prestige in the world. Whosoever does not honor the vote we will not respect him.
