Peshawar(PR): The 18th meeting of Board of Directors of Elementary Education Foundation (EEF) was held at the Elementary & Secondary Education Department (E&SED) Peshawar. Minister for KP E&SED Muhammad Atif Khan chaired the meeting; board directors of EEF and E&SED officials including Secretary E&SED Dr. Shahzad Bangash were also in attendance.
Talking on the occasion, Minister E&SED directed EEF authority for proactive actions on all pending activities. The Minister advised to make all possible efforts to ensure provision of free education to each and every child of the province, especially girls. The Minister further directed for frequent meetings of EEF’s Board of Directors to ensure speedy progress and resolution of bottlenecks in the progress.
The meeting reviewed progress on various ongoing projects and initiatives of EEF including but not limited to the Rokhana Pakhtunkwa Taleemi Program, Girls Community Schools, Iqra Farogh-e- Taleem voucher scheme, strengthening of EEF and improving linkages with donors and the private sector.
The EEF was directed to expedite progress to ensure outreach to more students through voucher program and girls community schools which will result in significant increase in the number of beneficiary students of voucher scheme and Girls Community Schools. In this regard, every effort will be made to provide all necessary resources to EEF.
