Peshawar(PR):The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) held its meeting under the Chairmanship of Mr. Muhammad Azam Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by its members and respective administrative Secretaries. The forum considered 41 projects pertaining to different sectors including Elementary & Secondary Education, Higher Education, Sports, Culture and Tourism, C&W, P&DD, Finance, Local Government, Health and Home Departments for the uplift of the province. The forum approved 21 Projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 12559.234 millions.
In the Elementary & Secondary Education Sector, the approved project were, “Establishment of Model School at Charsadda”, “PC-II for Establishment of Girls Cadet College at Mardan”, “Special Initiatives-sub head, Incentives for best performing School Teachers, Head masters, Principals”, “Standardization of GHSS Khar, Malakand, GGHSS Shakot Malakand, GHSS Dir District Upper, Olandar District Shangla and GHSS Gagra Buner”.
In the Higher Education Sector approved projects were, “Establishment of Govt Ishaq Shaheed Girls Degree Colleges at Adenzai Chakdara, district Dir Lower PK-97”, “Special Initiatives-“Stoori Da Pakhtunkhwa”.
In the Sports/Tourism sector approved projects were, “Promotion and sponsoring of Teams/Players and educational support to deserving/talented players of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”, “Youth Development Package”,
The only approved project in Multi Sectoral Sector was, “Improvement & Black Topping of 40 KM roads Narra Amazai /Bait Gali Area District Haripur (Kala Dhaka Project)”,
The only approved project in Finance Sector was,” Establishment of Energy Monitoring Unit in Finance Department”.
In the Urban Development Sector, approved project was, “Up-gradation of Remodeling of (Northern Section) of Ring Road from Charsadda Road to G.T Road Peshawar”.
In the Road and Bridge Sector approved projects were, “Dualization of Naguman Shabqadar Section of Provincial Highway S-A, District Charsadda (13 KM)”, “F/S, Design & Construction of road from Sira to Sulam Khand road (20 km) in Tehsil Ghazi, District Haripur”, “Rehabilitation /Widening of Srai Naimat Khan Road (12 Kms), District Haripur”,” Construction and Blacktopping of Banda Fateh Khan Road Darmalak road, Darmalak to Ghorzandi road, Darshakhel road Rehmanabad Pakka road, Krappa Shakardara road including bridge & PCC Roads in UCs, Sodhal, Lachi rural, Mandori District Kohat”.
In the building sector approved projects were, “construction of shopping Mall & Office Complex”, “Construction of Cafeteria in Provincial Assembly Building at Khyber road Peshawar”.
In the Health Sector approved projects were, “Establishment of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Children Hospital in Mardan”, “PC-II feasibility study designing and construction supervision of Mardan Medical Complex phase-III”.
In the Home Sector approved projects were, “Provision of Electricity through Separate Feeders to Central Prisons in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”, “Project Coordination Unit for Implementation of Law & Order Initiatives in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”.
