Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Maryum Aurangzeb on Thursday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government survived because of fake news and now he [PM] is trying to curb fake news, which would eventually collapse his government down.
In a statement, Maryum alleged that Prime Minister has been using fake news as a tool against opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif. “Why don’t NAB and FIA get news about inflation and price increase of sugar, oil, ghee and other basic commodities?” she asked.
PML-N spokesperson said that no corruption has been proved against PML-N senior leadership and all the cases filed against Sharif family were forged.
She said that ‘fake issue’ of fake news wouldn’t divert public’s attention from real issues like corruption and inflation. Inflation is at its peak but there are no chances of relief for masses during this government’s rule, Maryum added.
