Police have arrested 445 persons and recovered drugs and arms during its crackdown against criminal elements. According to police statement, police during the last one month claimed to have arrested around 445 accused of murder, attempted murder, robbery and other serious crimes.
Police claimed to have recovered a total of 22 Kalashnikovs,five Kalashnikovs, 70 rifles, 10 shotguns, 250 pistols from them.
Three kg ice, 105 kg of hashish, five kg of heroin, two kg of opium and several bottles of liquor were also recovered from the arrested persons in different operations.
Similarly, full action has been taken against the elements involved in the mall against street crimes and other crimes during which 11 dangerous accused involved in robbery, robbery, car lifting and snatching etc.
Numerous valuable vehicles and motorcycles, including stolen goods, have also been recovered, the real owners of which are being traced and handed over.
The Saddar Division Police has cracked down to maintain law and order situation in the area and operations against elements involved in robbery and other crimes.
Police said that millions of rupees have also been recovered during the operations. Additionally police claimed that domestic goods have been recovered and handed over to customs officials.
SP Saddar Division Waqar Ahmed while referring to the recent crackdown clarified that law and order situation, ongoing crackdown against anti-social elements and operations against drug dealers active in the area will continue.
He further said that a series of special PLC meetings were also being held for raising awareness against drugs and public collective issues in order to ensure timely identification and solution of the problems faced by the citizens.
