CM forms panel to solve issues related to Mankhniyal Forest

Says imposing a ban on construction activities in Mankhniyal Forest Areas was aimed at preservation of the natural beauty of the area
PESHAWAR
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan on Tuesday constituted a committee headed by the Commissioner Hazara Division to search out solutions to all issues related to Mankhniyal Forest Acre within a period of one month.
The decision was made in a meeting held regarding Makhniyal Forest Acres with Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan in the chair.
Provincial Minister for Irrigation Arshad Ayub, Principal Secretary to CM Amjad Ali Khan, Commissioner Hazara Division Mutahir Zeb, Deputy Commissioner Haripur, Director General Galliyat Development Authority and other relevant authorities attended the meeting.
In order to ensure effective and better management of Guzara Forest in the province, the meeting decided to go for a specific legislation and the concerned quarter were directed for necessary measures to this end.
While briefing the meeting about Mankhniyal Forest Acre, it was told that all type of constructions in the vicinity of Mankhniyal Forest area was completely banned, while mutations and fards were also not being issued for the sale and purchase of land in Mankhniyal Forest Acre.
The meeting was informed that zoning would be carried out in the Mankhniyal Forest area so that protection of forests could be ensured.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that imposing a ban on construction activities in Mankhniyal Forest Areas was aimed at preservation of the natural beauty of the area.
On the occasion, the chief minister directed the Commissioner Hazara Division to come up with proposals regarding relaxation of ban on issuance mutations for the sale and purchase of land.
