PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz has said PTI ticket has become symbol of disgrace.
“PTI ticket has become a stigma and symbol of disgrace. Still there is a chance for Imran Khan he should step down and no power in the world can support his performance. There is father and daughter relationship with Shabaz Sharif. We all including me will be happy to move ahead under leadership of Shahbaz Sharif. The powers for deciding the candidate for the slot of Prime Minister rest with Nawaz Sharif. All the decisions will come before us at opportune time, she said this while talking to media men on the occasion of her appearance in Islamabad High Court (IHC) during the hearing of appeal appeals in connection with Even Filed references Tuesday.
She remarked Imran Khan has made the life of people who are facing piles upon piles problems due to inefficient government of PTI.
How can party win election when PTI MNAs don’t support it, she questioned.
Imran Khan is left with no way to escape, she held. Imran Khan should accept he cannot run the government.
Imran Khan used to say KP is stronghold of PTI and he had to face humiliation therein too , she observed. The more adverse time awaits Imran Khan, she added.
She remarked Shahbaz Sharif is party president but the powers for deciding the candidate for the slot of prime minister rest with Nawaz Sharif.
Shahbaz Sharif is party president but he too is moving ahead in line with the directives of Nawaz Sharif, she underlined. All the decisions will come out at opportune time. It is premature to say some thing in this regard.
Nawaz Sharif is very eager to return to Pakistan, she stated. All including me want that Nawaz Sharif should return to home. Pakistan is Nawaz Sharif own country. He will do return.
To a question she said it nothing is more major punishment for Pervez Musharraf that he is remembered as a dictator. Pervez Musharraf himself saw that Nawaz Sharif was elected Prime Minister (PM) for third time while Pervez Musharraf had said Nawaz Sharif is history now. Musharraf can not return to Pakistan today and his name stands obliterated.
Talking of OIC meeting she said OIC conference was convened on Afghan issue. Kashmir is Pakistan jugular vein and we condemn Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir. Restoration of Afghanistan is responsibility of the entire world.
To a question on dismissal of the petition regarding disqualification of Imran Khan she said I don’t want to say any thing on a case of personal nature of Imran KHAN.
Commenting on PTI defeat in LB polls in KP she said PTI ticket has become symbol of disgrace. To me no one will like to obtain ticket of PTI. I advise that PTI ticket holders should go wearing helmet.
“I congratulate Maulana Fazlur Rehman on his victory in LB polls in KP. The result of KP LB polls is product of poor performance of PTI government. There is one BRT in Peshawar which runs less and burns more. Time is not far off when no one will be aspirant for obtaining PTI ticket. This is first government which is losing back to back election, she added.
Responding to a question she said PML-N is majority party in KP districts of Swat, Peshawar and Hazara while in other areas PML-N workers are there.
I will raise voice in parliamentary party meeting that we need to place more focus on KP, she indicated. PML-N had got excellent results in the past elections in KP.
Development in KP is right of the people of the province, she said adding uplift works including roads, motorways and other development works could not be executed in KP due to incompetence of PTI government. We will soon take decision with regard to KP. The journey to development of KP province will start again under leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif, she added.
