Consignment of aid handed over to Afghan authorities

PESHAWAR: King Salman of Saudia Arabia, Khabib Foundation and Al-Khidmat Foundation jointly handed over a consignment of aid consisting of 24 trucks to the Afghan authorities at Torkham crossing on Wednesday. According to the details, in a spirit of goodwill to the people of Afghanistan at Torkham border, King Salman of Saudi Arabia donated 16 trucks, five trucks from Khabeeb Foundation and three trucks from Al-Khidmat Foundation for Afghanistan. The assistance contained relief goods including food items, warm blankets, and medicines. Khalid Waqas, head of Ashrafuddin Al-Khidmat Foundation, Additional Assistant Commissioner, Landi Kotal, Murad Hussain Afridi of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) handed over to Afghan authorities Mullah Abdul Wahab and other Afghan officials. On this occasion, Khalid Waqas while talking to the media said that the people of Pakistan would extend its support to Afghanistan in this difficult time. Khabib Foundation Al-Khidmat Foundation and King Salman of Saudi Arabia continue to provide food and other necessities to the poor people of Afghanistan he added. The Afghan authorities especially thanked the Pakistani authorities and Saudi Arabia and other welfare foundation officials for handing over 24 trucks of groceries to the people of Afghanistan.
