PESHAWAR
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Forests, Environment and Wildlife Syed Muhammad Ishtiaq Urmar Sunday said that timber and corrupt mafia will be dealt with iron hands, promotion of forests is a matter of time and utmost priority of the government.
He expressed these views while talking to media persons in Peshawar. The provincial minister said that Billion Tree Afforestation is a pro-people project of the PTI government which is a great achievement of the government.
He said that the current tree planting campaign is also a link of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Billion Tree project which we all have shared responsibility to make it a success. “We will not spare any sacrifice for our dear countrymen,” he added.
Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision will be put into practice and this time plants will be planted on a large area in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Green Pakistan is a dream of PTI and it will be fulfilled soon, the Minister further added.
He said such steps have been taken for the betterment and in preventing erosion and flooding of the earth and are an invaluable gift of nature to mankind on earth. He appealed to the media and the people to take part in this tree planting campaign as much as possible to reduce the effects of global warming in the country.
