Excise police seize 24 kg hashish in smuggling bid

PESHAWAR: Excise police on Wednesday foiled a bid to smuggle 24 kilograms of hashish and arrested the accused at Peshawar region. According to the spokesperson of the Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department, the excise police of Peshawar region received secrete information about narcotics smuggling bid and after which SHO Muhammad Riaz and his team set up a checkpoint at H-Gol Chow exit to Motorway road. They signalled a suspected vehicle (LEB 3839) to stop and they found 24 kilograms of hashish hidden in secret chambers of the vehicle during the search. The excise police arrested the accused-Muhammad Azeem who is a resident of Sargodha. A case was registered in Excise police station Peshawar region. APP
