Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat has directed the city traffic police to launch a crackdown on non-use of seat belts to prevent accidents during which seat belts were used throughout the district.
A special crackdown has been launched against the defaulters under which the city traffic police have fined more than 10,000 persons and recovered around two million rupees during the last three months.
It may be recalled that the Traffic Police Peshawar conducts regular training programs to enforce the traffic rules and make the citizens aware of the traffic rules.
