SUJAWAL
Government Primary School Mugarbeen named after the renowned Sufi saint Hazrat Mugharbeen situated in the center of Jati town of district Sujawal is facing a shortage of teachers and other staff for the past two months.
The school has only 9 teachers to manage around 950 students followed by insufficient lower staff that has turned things worse for the headmaster.
The headmaster of the School Mr. Shanawaz Talpur told this correspondent that the school was among the ancient educational institutes of the districts that had been imparting quality education in an otherwise remote area of the district.
“Students from different villages and far-flung areas of Jati Taluka seek admission in this primary school with the motive of acquiring quality education.
But the process of education has been adversely affected during the past couple of months owing to lack of teachers and lower staff”; said Head Master and added that he had no answer to the questions asked by the parents and inhabitants about the mismanagement that had been persisting in the wake of the current scenario.
“At present there are 9 teachers teaching and one of them is suffering from mouth cancer. However, 2 peons have recently retired”: said Talpur.
He further said that the high ups of the education department had turned a deaf ear to his pleas for filling the vacancies adding that the school was the major source of quality education in the area and would lose its prominence soon if the indifferent attitude of the concerned spheres continued.
