Second edition of colorful Pakistan Sport Festival was inaugurated here at Sports Complex, Jamrud, on Tuesday.
The event has been organized under the auspices of Frontier Corp (FC) North with assistant of sports department and district administration.
On the opening session of the event Member Provincial Assembly from Bara, Shafiq Afridi was the chief guest beside Deputy Commissioner, Khyber Arshad Mansoor, District Sports Officer Rahidgul Mulagori, local political and tribal leaders and large numbers of sports lovers were among the attendants.
Schools children presented a PT show and sang national songs that enthralled the spectators.
Gymnastic show was also arranged on the occasion that was applauded by the participants.
Traditional Khattak dance was also presented in addition with forces band played national songs, applauded by the audience.
Players of different teams, dressed in color sports kits, saluted the chief guest while passing in front of dais.
Traditional dance and martial arts shows were presented that enthralled the audience.
Speaking on the occasion MPA Shafiq Afridi said that the main purpose of organizing sports competitions is to highlight the light image of the merged tribal district in addition with providing opportunities to local players to exhibit their talents.
Games competitions will be simultaneously held in Khyber,Mohmand and Bajaur districts.
The games competitions will continue from February 08 to March 23rd ,2022 and approximately 3205 players of 245 teams of Football,Cricket,Athletics,Volleyball,Basketball,Badminton etc. from all six tehsil and sub-tehsils including Landi Kotal,Jamrud,Bara,Tirah valley and Mulagori will participate in it.
