The Inspector General, National Highways and Motorways Police, Inam Ghani, has issued directions for all Zonal Commanders to ensure snap checking and enforcement at various toll plazas during different timings to check violations i.e. unregistered vehicles, tinted glasses, video players (which distracts attention of driver from driving), driving without driving license, seat belts, unfit/unworthy vehicles, fancy registration plates, drunk drivers, open body carry vans/ improper load to ensure safety and security of commuters and reduce traffic accidents on Motorways, Highways and Expressways.
The IG, NHMP said that protection of precious human lives and safety of passengers is our prime responsibility which is also our vision and top priority.
He motivated the field formations to utilize their capabilities and improve performance, enhance patrolling to ensure safe and comfortable journeys.
