Minister inaugurates water boat service at Raghagan dam

KP Minister for Zakat, Social Welfare and Women Development, Anwar Zeb Khan on Sunday inaugurated water boat service for tourists at Raghgan Small Dam in Bajaur District.
Addressing the ceremony, the minister said that strict security measures had been taken to allow water boats in Raghagan Dam however, no one would be allowed to ride a water-boat without a lifesaving jacket. He said that rescue teams along with police personnel have been deployed to deal with any untoward incident besides keeping vigilant eyes on those violating the set instructions issued for ensuring safety.
He said that the Raghagan dam has depth of 52 feet and length of 200 feet, adding that with the completion of Raghagan dam, a total of 3,500 acres land would be irrigated with total water storage capacity of 1252 acre-feet.
Anwar Zeb said that PTI had initiated record uplift schemes for promotion of tourism in the province. He said that steps have been taken for rehabilitating and revamping the existing facilities including construction of a large park, hotel and chairlift for tourists was in progress that would completed very soon.
A large number of visitors, Party workers and people of the area were also present during the inauguration ceremony.
