The Awami National Party (ANP) has submitted a call attention notice in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly secretariat to draw the House attention towards the violation of local government election code by the ruling party candidates in district Shangla.
The call attention notice by the ANP parliamentary leader MPA Faisal Zeb Khan said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidates and workers from district Shangla were allegedly violating the code of conduct at the behest of the district administration.
“Candidates of the ruling party and local party organizations are taking identity cards from the people in the name of various aid packages,” he added.
Mr Faisal Zeb Khan has said the ruling party members through their workers using the government programs such as Ehsas Program, Benazir Income Support Program and Health Card for voting in upcoming local government elections in the district.
He alleged the concern of the district administration for turning deaf ear towards the ruling party violation of elections rules and demanded of the house to debate over the issues for holding transparent elections.
