LAHORE: Senior film and TV actor Masood Akhtar passed away at the age of 82 after protracted illness on Saturday. According to family sources he was undergoing treatment in a private hospital since one month after his health deteriorated as he was suffering from lung cancer. The actor had made huge contribution to the art of acting by performing in many movies, TV plays and theatre productions. He played the role of villain in several films. Akhtar also received the Pride of Performance Award for his artistic services. He was born in Sahiwal on September 05, 1940 and stated his career as artist in 60s decade. His funeral prayers will be offered in Usman Park, Gushan Ravi here. ONLINE
