Vice Chancellor Women University Swabi Professor Dr. Shahana Urooj said that allocating one day for women is an abuse of women.
She expressed these views while addressing the inauguration ceremony of Baby Day Care Center. She said that today’s woman is different from yesterday’s woman. Women are by no means inferior to men and gone are the days when women were behind as now they are working side by side with men in every field, she added.
“It is too much to set aside a day for women and all days of the year belong to women because they are busy from morning till evening, ‘’ Professor Dr. Shaana Urooj said.
Taking care of the house, taking care of children is one of her responsibilities, so celebrating one day for women is an abuse of them, Prof. Dr. Shahana Urooj Kazmi, Vice Chancellor, Women’s University, Swabi said.
The Vice Chancellor said that the celebration of Women’s Day highlights the importance of women and today women are different from how they were in the past. “Now she has proved her mettle in every field except housewife and in the days to come, women will outnumber men,” she added. A walk was organized at the university on this occasion and a day care center was inaugurated.
