Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Ikhtiar Wali on Monday submitted a resolution in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly secretariat demanded resignation of Prime Minister Imran Khan, he said Imran Khan has lost majority in the National Assembly after several ruling party lawmakers decided openly that they would support and vote opposition in the no-trust motion.
Ikhtiar Wali, who is also PML-N provincial spokesperson, said the Prime Minister uses foul language against the opposition and his own party members who deviated from his party and sought condemnation of the provincial Assembly in the resolution.
He said Imran Khan after the no-trust motion submitted by the opposition parties in the National Assembly trying to provoke hate and extremism in their speeches.
The Prime Minister has lost the moral legitimacy to remain and run the government and the country as he has no majority in the National Assembly, he added.
Moreover, in a separate development, Awami National Party (ANP) submitted a call attention notice in the KP Assembly and condemned a police raid and disrupt a private concert of leading singer Karan Khan.
It said that some elements in the society wanted to serve their vested interests by trying to destroy Pashtun culture and defaming the police officials.
This House should immediately call for a report from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) KP and Culture Department, it read.
