CCPO Muhammad Ijaz Khan on Friday lauded the role of Imamia Jirga in a special meeting with a delegation of the community.
Appreciating the role of Imamia Jirga in promoting peace and brotherhood in the city, he said that in order to maintain the atmosphere of peace and order during Ramadan, all stakeholders and important institutions should work together.
CCPO said that a comprehensive security plan has been drawn up for the establishment of peace in the city.
In light security measures with security has been made more effective, he added that surveillance of all important and sensitive mosques, imambargahs, educational institutions and densely populated bazaars is being carried out through CCTV cameras, among other important measures.
On the occasion, special prayers were offered for the security of the country and the nation including the police personnel and other worshipers who were martyred in the Kocha Risaldar bomb blast.
The delegation headed by Brigadier (retd) Sartaj included Akhonzada Muzaffar and other leaders thanked the Peshawar Police for foolproof security arrangements in the city and He assured full cooperation with the police personnel and district administration.
