Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat on Saturday visited Tehkal and University Road to review the traffic management system.
During the visit, Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat inspected the traffic system and the steps being taken by the City Traffic Police Peshawar.
On this occasion, Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat directed the officials of City Traffic Police Peshawar to take action against the encroaching mafia on a daily basis so that the citizens do not face any difficulties.
He directed the authorities to take strict action against the violators of the no parking zones and ensure parking in the plazas in all cases so that the citizens do not park their vehicles on the side of the road while the perpetrators.
All capabilities should be used to ensure uninterrupted flow of traffic and no negligence will be tolerated in this regard. Staff should continue to be aware of traffic rules, he added.
He said that the business community should co-operate with the traffic staff to eliminate encroachments from the city and ensure smooth flow of traffic.
