Water and Sanitation Services Company Mardan has been declared as ISO certified company. After the 1st surveillance audit carried out in March 2022, PCA has renewed its certification for WSSCM for the year 2022-23.
The Partners Certificate Assurance (PCA) an awarding institute of ISO certification has awarded ISO certification to Water and Sanitation Services Company Mardan (WSSCM) last year in April, for providing services as per international standards however, at the same time they gave some recommendations for continuous improvement.
Chairman Board of Directors, Haji Fazli Qadir and other Board Members said the company is striving for continuous improvement and has renewed ISO certificates in light of the recommendations by PCA and company policies in three sectors.
During the ISO 1st surveillance audit, the firm assessed quality policy, environmental management policy and food and safety management policy of the company and its implementation before renewing the certificates.
The PCA renewed ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 22000:2018 and ISO 14001: 2015 of WSSCM’s services in different categories including water supply, solid waste management, waste water management, said a press release.
A team of PCA visited Mardan this year and thoroughly inspected WSSCM’s policies and procedures and service delivery in water supply, solid waste management, sewerage and drainage management, Health and safety and customer care.
The team expressed satisfaction over the services delivery, systems and procedures and declared it in line with international standards, for which the company was awarded 9001: 2015.
The team also comprehensively inspected the environmental aspect of WSSCM”s operations and declared that WSSCM have adopted environmental protection and its continuous improvement as per International standards for which it has been awarded ISO 14001:2015.
The PCA also expressed satisfaction on providing safe drinking water to the citizens as per international standard and awarded ISO 22000:2018 to WSSCM.
CEO WSSCM Engineer Amir Khan appreciated the unprecedented team efforts of the entire staff and said that wsscm will provide improved services with the same spirit of dedication, commitment and devotion in future as well to the citizens of mardan.
