MARDAN
Majority of the tailors have started looting the citizens with both hands by receiving huge amount of money for sewing clothes from the customers while the district administration has closed their eyes.
Sources added that the district administration has fixed Rs 400 for the sewing of simple suit, Rs 450 for simple sewing and special button suit and Rs 500 for fancy suit. Sources added that the tailor is receiving Rs. 1000 to Rs 1200 per sewing normal suit while receiving Rs. 15,00 for the sewing of a fancy suit.
Due to the high cost, poor citizens are unable to make new clothes for their children for the upcoming Eid-ul-fitr. It may be noted that due to negligence and carelessness of district administration large numbers of tailors working at Gaju Khan road, Shaheen market, Gharib market, Wahab plaza, Mina market, Bukit Ganj bazar, Nahr Chowk, Eidgah Road, Shamsi Road, Kas Korona, Baghdada, Maqam Chowk, Charsadda chowk and other shopping malls did not follow the government fix rate and looting the citizens with both hands by collecting arbitrary prices.
The citizens of Mardan demanded the Chief Minister Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to himself take strict action of the self-made price hike in Mardan district because the district administration is not ready to take action against the self-made price hike and provide relief to the masses.
