PESHAWAR
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan will address a public rally at Mardan on Friday (today).
As part of his party’s strategy, the recently ousted Prime Minister is demanding fresh elections from the incumbent government in their public campaigns.
In a statement issued by the PTI-KP spokesperson and MPA Zahir Shah Turo said all preparations have been finalized for the rally of Imran Khan.
Zahir Shah said that people’s sympathies with former PM Imran Khan have increased manifold after being ousted through alleged foreign conspiracy.
Secretary Information PTI shared that Imran Khan will also hold two more power shows in Swabi and Kohat on May 16 and 17 respectively.
“PTI workers are excited about the ‘Independence March’. Millions of people from KP will arrive in Islamabad in large convoys on the call of Imran Khan,” he added.
Zahir Shah demanded that the incumbent government should announce fresh elections in the country as soon as possible.
The district administration of Mardan has issued a traffic plan in connection with the PTI public gathering. According to a plan issued by the traffic police, major shifts have been observed in routine routes for general transporters.
It is pertinent to mention here that PTI has selected Railway Station ground for its public gathering in Mardan city.
The party workers under the leadership of Atif Khan, PTI Minister for Food, have launched a massive union council wise campaign to make the Mardan’s rally a successful power show.
It has been reported that a large number of party workers from Peshawar, Nowsehra, Charsadda, and Swabi would join the rally scheduled to be started at 5 p.m.
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, PTI central and provincial leadership including Shah Mahmood Qurashi, Asad Umar, Pervaz Khattak, CM-KP Mahmood Khan, and Atif Khan will address the rally.
