PTI MPA threatens closing of grid station over prolong power cut

KOHAT: Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Ziaullah Bangash has expressed serious concerns over the increasing power load shedding in Kohat and threatened that if the load shedding was not reduced immediately and relief was not provided then the both the grid stations at Kohat would be seized and would be taken it into their custody, the consequences of which would be the responsibility of PESCO officials. In a statement issued here on Saturday, Chairman DEDAC and MPA Ziaullah Bangash said that he talked to both the Executive Engineers of PESCO, stationed at Kohat and they have been given a time till Wednesday next to reduce the load shedding and provide more relief accordingly. Ziaullah Bangash further stated that the people of Kohat have been paying regular monthly electricity bills and thus he has asked PESCO officials for the details of payment for their monthly electricity bills. According to the statement, MPA Ziaullah Bangash had a meeting with PESCO officials of Kohat in the office of Deputy Commissioner Kohat a week ago in which one-week time was given for reducing load shedding. It is worth mentioning here that there has been a huge increase in load shedding in the district, including KDA and other city areas due to which the people were facing severe difficulties. DLP Report
